We are still here! Things have been a bit crazy lately and it is nearly impossible for me to sit on the computer for longer than 3 minutes...either Brady finds me or Brendan suddenly wakes up. BUT! they both took a 2 hour nap at the same time today and you can bet I was right there with them..I even got to cuddle with my Brady :) I have been horrible with the picture taking and I do no have anything recent of the boys on the computer. Brendan is asleep in my lap so you will have to make due with what was taken on the 16th.
Both boys are doing wonderful. Brendan is eating like a champ and is very needy in the late evening but he is sleeping very well and Brady is just being the big brother when he isn't running wild. He tried to put a sock on Brendan today..and they held hands this morning, AGAIN! :) I cannot wait for Brendan to get a bit older and to see them interact and play together..I know they will be best friends.
I spy Brendan, Brady and Bernie :)

One man's trash..
is another man's treasure!
I have been wanting to get this for Brady since he loves anything with water.
Down the street somebody had put it out for the trash and you can bet we picked it up. On post, people throw out some good stuff..especially for kids, I wish they would donate it. On trash night, people drive around the neighborhoods to see what has been left out and sometimes you get real lucky.
It was perfect, just needed to be rinsed out and we have a very happy toddler!
Bernie was spraying him with the hose and he is reaching for the water..
I bet you are wondering where sweet Brendan is during all this..

Happy Mother's Day!
I could not be more proud to be the mother of these two precious boys! I am so thankful that they have come into our lives and brought so much love!
Brady has really grown to Brendan already. He will come sit down next to him and just watch him and we talk about Brendan..Brady has a lot to say back but it is gibberish! He is a bit shy when it comes to touching him but he checks him out for sure. It is amazing to see how well Brady has done with him, he is a very proud big brother.
I hope this bond will stick for many years..
and Happy Mother's Day to my amazing mother! Thank you for being such a great role model and I can only hope that I am half the mom you are to me. I am still learning from you everyday and I am forever thankful for our special bond and friendship we share, it is one in a million. Love you Momma!

Asheboro Zoo
Earlier this week, we made a trip to the Asheboro Zoo, which is the NC state zoo. The zoo is huge and it is divided up into North America and Africa and covers a 5 mile walking path. It was a perfect day for walking, which is exactly what we did. The majority of the animals were sleeping in the back of their exhibit area and in each one there was only one animal. We were not very impressed with the zoo :(
It was about a 2 hr drive and we found out that the giraffe deck closes at 2 (we finally arrived around noon)..so we had to book it over to Africa. We caught the tram over and here are the boys enjoying the ride..
The giraffes weren't up by the deck so unfortunately, we didn't get to see them up close and personal like we had at the Brevard County zoo back home. Either way, Brady was very excited!
We saw the elephants on the ride into Africa and didn't want to walk 'backwards' to that area since they were far away and the lion was snoozing in the back of his cage.
I forgot what these are called but the exhibit referenced 'Madagascar' because this is King Julian!
Brady hitched a ride from Daddy and loved it!
I believe this is the grizzly bear..check out those claws!
Brady loved the otters, they are actually really neat to watch!
He is trying so hard to stay awake..but he is watching the otters.
Polar Bear
That sums up the zoo besides some fish, turtles, alligators, snakes and an owl.
It was a great day though and it was our first official outing as four :)

Man cave!
We finally got Brady his own little house! He absolutely loves it. It has a doorbell, mail box and even came with a phone. He now says 'ding dong' and will ring the door bell after. Nana got an envelope for the mailbox and it has to be folded in half to fit and since Brady doesn't quite understand that, he will try himself and then hands it to you to fold and he holds it that way to put it through, so cute. There is a table inside and he will bring his drink and snack in there and just hang out. He also likes to hang on the door..not sure what that is about just yet..
