Do you hear that?

 Silence. All is quiet in the Busonick household. Really, it is 10am and both Bernie and Brady are sleeping. Well, I hope Brady is sleeping anyway. There was a jump last night and Bernie had parachute duty or something along those lines. It was a late jump (9:45pm) and it wasn't until at least 3:30am that he made it home, which puts him at almost 24 hours awake.

We found Brady's Halloween costume! I originally wanted him to be a lion but when I went to buy it, they were all gone :( Next option was a puppy. It sat on my dining room table for about a week because I knew that it wasn't the one. He would not want that thing over his head. I finally tried to put it on and he wanted nothing to do with it so back to the store it went. Now, this is where I went scrambling. We found the cutest costume that is a UPS man and it was very simple but not in his size along with a few others. I made a last minute trip to Toys R Us to pick up a birthday gift and what do you know, they had costumes, 40% off!! Girls have so many more options but I found one for Brady and he even tried it on and loved it. He is absolutely the cutest thing in it and it even goes over his head. His excitement may have been from running around the store but who cares, he wore it! It is supposed to cool off (mid 60's) as a high, starting tomorrow and last through the weekend. We are looking at a cold Halloween and it works out perfect because his costume it a little thick. Trick or Treating will be on the 30th here and we will probably go up to the Youth Center for some activities and then we will head to a friends house afterward.

Baby update
14 weeks: Think of it this way: You're a third of the way through and baby's a third of the way cooked. Now that the "big stuff" (like skeletal and organ development) is taken care of, your baby starts a period of rapid brain growth, fat buildup and detail work. Highlights this week include:

Your baby now has fingerprints! Book 'em, Danno! Believe it or not, he actually created them himself while swimming around in the amniotic fluid. As he moved his hands, the skin on the tips of his fingers formed unique ridges and folds. That's why no one on earth has the same fingerprints, not even identical twins! Cool, right? Baby's arms are now in proportion to his tiny body, but his legs are still on the short size in comparison.

Meconium, that tar-like, sticky first baby poop, is now loading up your baby's intestines, which means you might want to set aside a bottle of olive oil, one of the few things that will get the gooey poop off of baby's bottom.

Your baby continues to gain new and impressive skills such as practicing and controlling voluntary muscle movements (this will help him fling food across the room later in life). Your tiny dancer's movements are no longer the jerky, uncontrollable twitches of yore—he now moves with graceful control.

Your baby is now weighs about an ounce and is the length of a flip phone, or roughly 3.5 inches—he's tripled in size from a mere three weeks ago! Luckily, you haven't done the same.

No weight gain and no cravings to be recorded. It has been pretty quiet but I have gotten sick 2x after brushing my teeth. This happened with Brady very early on but nothing ever actually came up like this time.
I am still thinking that it is a girl. Life would be too easy with another boy, only a few more weeks to go till we find out. 

Things I don't want to forget.

When you day da da da da over and over as you are ready to fall asleep, normally in the car.

Your clapping. Lately, you will be so happy that you will swing your arms all the way back and forward to where they aren't even clapping because your arms are moving so fast and you are just giggling away.

There is a poster in our room that says '21 ways to make a dog smile' and if I am carrying you in there you immediately find it and say 'dog' while pointing to it. I will bring you over there and you make noises and point to a variety of the dogs on the poster.

The noise you make as you go in for a big kiss. You open your mouth and you go 'ahhhhhh' as you lean forward.

Your ticklish feet, back and inner thighs. You have such a great laugh and you end up being tickled far to many times a day!

Hubb's Corn Maze

We headed out to the corn maze on Sunday. It was in the middle of nowhere and we passed tons of cotton and corn fields. It was a short stay though, not too much to do and keep Brady occupied. He knows that he can run around and that is what he wants to do.

Unfortunately, we made it through the maze and all 6 checkpoints within 15 minutes. It was very short but it was fun since we had never done that before.
Bernie just wanted to get back to the football that he was missing. Both of our teams went into overtime but they did win, he is a trooper :)

There is another farm that is closer and has much better reviews. Hopefully, we will be able to check that out this weekend and get our pumpkins.

Made it to Florida!

We made it back home last weekend and it was a great time. As always, it was short but I am glad that we made it. Brady has so pleased to see his Nana and they caught up on their naps together.
He is saying 'car' to everything. He is also saying 'airplane' and 'bird', which sound more like ah-pa and bah. He knows to look up for airplane and points to it and hears the birds when they chirp. We are working on 'shoe' right now and I haven't gotten any type of attempt that comes close to shoe but he does say something back. He knows that they go on his feet and gets so excited when you put them down. He will bring one to you and will sit down for you to put them on, it is adorable!
Other than that, things have  been pretty quiet around here..which is most likely good. We are planning to check out a pumpkin patch this weekend and get our pumpkins as well as his Halloween costume for Brady. Fort Bragg and the surrounding areas have made trick or treating on Saturday from 6-8. We probably won't do any trick or treating but head up to one of the youth centers where they have fun activities set up.

Here is an update on Baby B-we are sorta in between weeks right now, almost finished with Week 12 and headed into Week 13 tomorrow..
Week 12
The most dramatic development this week: reflexes. Your baby's fingers will soon begin to open and close, his toes will curl, his eye muscles will clench, and his mouth will make sucking movements. In fact, if you prod your abdomen, your baby will squirm in response, although you won't be able to feel it. His intestines, which have grown so fast that they protrude into the umbilical cord, will start to move into his abdominal cavity about now, and his kidneys will begin excreting urine into his bladder.

Meanwhile, nerve cells are multiplying rapidly, and in your baby's brain, synapses are forming furiously. His face looks unquestionably human: His eyes have moved from the sides to the front of his head, and his ears are right where they should be. From crown to rump, your baby-to-be is just over 2 inches long (about the size of a lime) and weighs half an ounce.

Week 13
Fingerprints have formed on your baby's tiny fingertips, her veins and organs are clearly visible through her still-thin skin, and her body is starting to catch up with her head — which makes up just a third of her body size now. If you're having a girl, she now has more than 2 million eggs in her ovaries. Your baby is almost 3 inches long (the size of a medium shrimp) and weighs nearly an ounce.

and this was from this morning. He had been running around with one shoe on because he gets up right after you get the first one on. He is a roams the house and just thinks he is something else with the shoe on and eventually makes his way back to me. He is holding each of his other 2 pairs of shoes but no the one that matches. He must have known that something was wrong and needed the other one. You can't see the brown one cause he is throwing it on the ground..

A year ago..

Pillows

We finally have awesome weather and it is currently 59 degrees! We will be taking Brady and the girls for a walk once Brady wakes from his nap, the girls are rowdy. Of course, this weekend will be full of football and Bernie and I have a big game tomorrow night (Pats vs. Dolphins). He has already said we will be watching in 2 different rooms, haha, no confidence there!



Well, since the pictures take forever to upload..we have already taken the dogs to the dog park and Brady is down for his nap.
Brady ran around the park like crazy and there was another boy there that was 19 months...around the age Brady will be when he becomes a big brother! They didn't really play together, Brady likes to run around on his own and do his own thing.

Anyway, here are some pictures from yesterday when I pulled the pillows off the couch..
